I have had the pleasure of meeting some very talented ladies through a couple of photography classes that we have taken together. We each have a passion for photography and come together each month on our 10 on 10 blog series.
Besides being consumed by school starting and going off to Kindergarten for my oldest daughter my husband who is a K9 officer had to go through quit an adjustment this month as well. His partner of 5 years ~ Nobel, was retired and my husband was transferred to a new shift and promoted. I know every morning it breaks his heart when he leaves for work and reality sets in that he no longer has his 4 legged partner breathing on his neck. Nobel has now become the family dog, our girls have adored him from the moment they were born. You can certainly tell that Nobel misses not going to work as well in the way that he has been acting the last few weeks. Nobel will go to the part of the driveway where the police car is always parked and notice that it isn’t there and looks back and me, with what would be sad eyes if he was able to do that. Then using his powerful sense of smell he seems to try and locate it, hoping that dad hasn’t left without him.
On their last night of work together we held a mini photo session to capture the memories of the job they both loved doing together. (I did capture other photos of them together but for privacy and security reasons my husbands name and face have been left out, I’m sure you can understand).
